Automation Group Continues Expansion
Modesto, California, May 9, 2019: As a creator of best-in-class technology paths for American manufacturers and a leader in its industry, Automation Group continues to flourish―as demonstrated by its recent move to an upgraded headquarters. Each department in the company has continued to grow since the turn of the new year, making the expansion a necessity.
The new building is located at 4400 Sisk Road on the outskirts of Modesto near Salida, situated conveniently near Highway 99. The building welcomes employees and guests with floor-to-ceiling windows.
“When we considered the move, it was important that we stay in the Modesto region,” said Brad Stegmann, CEO. “Automation Group has deep roots in the community and is proud to employ over 50 local workers.”
The new property will positively affect valued customers by way of increased production capacity. It’s also important for employee safety, as Jason Kieffer, the Director of Project Manager Office noted. “Our expanded panel-shop size allows for improved safety as the extra space allows for fewer trip hazards,” Kieffer said.
Kieffer also recognized the operational benefit to the new move: “Our new building has allowed our continuously expanding Modesto operations to be back under one roof. This has already improved our internal communications and we still have room to grow.” The previous site kept walls, even entire buildings, between departments. Now, engineers and marketing take the airy space in the center of the offices, surrounded by project managers, Accounting, Human Resources, Sales, and management.
As a result of the change of space, conversations between coworkers, and even departments, have increased operational efficiency, allowing a faster transmission of information. In addition to having better means of communication, the team can be together; a key ingredient to Automation Group’s strong and healthy company culture.
“Automation Group evaluates each expansion under the lens of better serving our customers, employees, and community,” Stegmann commented. “We are all looking forward to Automation Group’s accelerated growth and the upcoming opportunities that come along with it.”
